and the last not one, but somehow TWO blogs are terrible, I'm lucky enough to post another. Any way to delete the first two!?

go into dashboard (click the B) and 'manage posts'. you can delete your duplicates there.

i like the different dimensions you have going on with the portraits and then the full body shots, and how you integrated type into the layouts with a simple color pallete.

I think that the different levels are too similar, and though the template is interesting, the tabs could be placed in a different location to make them more dynamic and interesting(I know I had the same problem with where to place them in my layouts too :)

I think these 2 layouts are a bit similar. I do like the changes you made however the investigation could have gone a bit further. Dimension is good to give the user a feel of what is being presented and what deserves the attention.

Work on exploration and maybe integrate some new ideas into what you already have here.

elisha.

right now you have some nice elements...but I think right now you are working to create a site that looks like other ones rather than capitalizing on what you do best. Your pink gun had more personality...

Perhaps the buttons could look less like old website buttons? Perhaps you add to the color palette?

Have more fun with it.

Right now some simple changes would be the red content box is difficult to read text on and flattens things. The tabs are somewhat flat (as backgrond not being used as tabs). Create a broader color palette.

Again more fun...

Yo X-tina,
I like your idea for this layout, I think the positioning works well. However I think it needs to be refined, look at your font choices color scheme closely. I think if you tweek some of the fine points your design will be awesome.

hey hey hey,

I really like the layering effect that you're using in both layouts. It makes the person stand out against the other information (and really looks like a good game interface). I like the second layout better because of the name placement and drop down menu coming directly from the selected person's picture. The only thing I am not so sure about is the picture in the background which seems to be really dominant and kind of competes with everything around it. All in all, loves it, good job!

i like the layering of people and faces in your layout. the first thing that struck me about layout #1 is the text box is a little awkwardly placed, like it could be smaller and fit the text more without covering part of your face, or the text could grow to fit the box more. because right now, it's just slightly off.

with the second layout, again i find the text a little strangely placed because it's again covering your face with the menu bar. with the red box around your face, we already know which page we're on so it would probably be okay if you shifted the menu bar to the left so it's by the other face photo.

hello hello hello, sorry i'm late. I really like the cutout of the full body. I def. like the second layout more. Like the integration of the info with the low key headshot layered beneath it. I would say that maybe the type is too big at the bottom. It seems to compete with the body image. Also, the area where the text is displayed in the second layout, is this also where other imagery will be shown? If so...cool, if not...give it a shot.

Elisha, I like the balance between simple and complex in both of your designs. In the middle you have some open space and at the top and bottom you have buttons and pictures. I like that. What I think could improve it is some good typography. I also think brighter colors would be more engaging. Altogether I like it.
